7 Ways To Wear A Silk Scarf This Spring Season

WOW!

It's been such a long time since I've written anything on that blog! And for that, I am truly sorry! (And promise to be better)

Let's kick it off this year in style though, (literally;)) and have a look at 7 WAYS TO WEAR A SILK SCARF (OR ANY SCARF) THIS SPRING AND SUMMER SEASONS.

Let's start with facts. Our grandmothers have been rocking scarves for decades, but for the past few years, the fashion world has seen a big comeback of this highly regarded accessory. Styles come and go, but we can always be sure, that they will make a full circle and come back this way or the other. This is precisely what is happening to scarves, but as we can see around various Fashion Shows, the only thing that's changed is the way we wear them.

Spring and Summer 2019 is going to see bold patterns and colors, artistic expressions, geometric shapes, nautical patterns and even Royal connotations (like the coat of arms motives).

The prominent material is, of course, luscious silk, and that is why I wanted to share the most interesting ways to wear a silk scarf, according to professionals.

#1

Scarves as bag charms. Silk scarves have also moved over to accessorize accessories. In this case, a women’s handbag-scarf combo is ruling since the fall/winter season! Make a little knot on your handbag strap (best if the two are contrasting towards one another) and you’re good to go. Some people have taken it to a whole new level though – You can wrap your scarf around the bags’ strap, covering the latter completely (look below)!

#2

Around the neck like a choker! Yes, you’ve read that right. Silk scarves can be worn wrapped tightly around your neck keeping you both warm and adding a bit of character/making a statement, even if paired with seemingly boring office attire.

#3

The back tie. Old as old a fashion style can be, but very much alive and doing great in 2019! A scarf tied in the back looks amazing paired with sharply tailored outfits and trench coats. Our grannies have been doing this one very right!

#4

Double up your scarves and create an unforgetting look with a matching head scarf and a belt. As proposed by Burberry, silk scarves are apparently a great solution, if you don’t hold a classical belt in your wardrobe. And you shouldn’t! This option seems to be a lot more stylish.

#5

Liven-up your scrunchies and tie your silk scarf around them, creating a hair bow or hair tie. It will liven up your ponytail or hair bun, even if you decided to skip washing them in the morning😉

#6

As mentioned slightly before (with point #4), tying a silk scarf like a headband is a definite huge trend this season! It's a bow towards the late 1960s and a great style to come back to. Visible all over the place in the form of an actual headband or as a full cap (reminding us of the famous Marilyn Monroe open top car scene, where she paired it with large sunglasses😉) either tied in the back or cross finished gently on your neck.

#7

Last, but not least is a nonchalant look of a loosely tied scarf (kind of like a girl scout) – simple and chic. This version will look amazing with all the oversized and baggy clothing.

And that's it for now :)

Hope you enjoyed this mini guide. Please do not hesitate to leave your comments below!

What's YOUR favorite way to wear a scarf? :)

Have a fantastic week!
